Tom Ryan is a legend in broadcast journalism, having spent more than 30 years on television...including 20 years as a prime time news anchor at CBS and ABC affiliate stations.

As both reporter and field anchor, he has covered major news events throughout the U.S. and reported from all national political conventions for two decades. Reporting from special assignments both in the U.S. and abroad, he has contributed regularly to network news coverage of disasters and major news events.

In the early 60's, he pioneered the concept of the "news brief" which has since become the staple in local and network news operations. He is the recipient of the coveted ACE Award for the most outstanding cable television program in the nation.

While with a CBS affiliate station, his newscast received the highest rating of any station in the nation.

Few journalists in the nation have exceeded his longevity as a prime time anchor.
